The thyroid is a small butterfly-shaped endocrine organ that sits right at the base of the throat. It controls many of the hormones secreted by the body and how quickly the body uses energy and makes proteins. It also controls how sensitive the body is to other hormones. A healthy thyroid requires many factors, such as a healthy endocrine system, stable hormone levels, good and balanced gut flora, and well-functioning organs like the liver, kidneys and adrenals. The primary function of the thyroid is the production of the hormone T4, T3 and calcitonin. Up to 80% of the T4 is converted to T3 by organs such as the liver and kidneys. T3 is several times more powerful than T4.
The two main issues with the thyroid are known as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. Many factors distinguish the two, but in essence, hypothyroidism is far more prevalent and results in the underproduction of both T3 and T4. Hyperthyroidism is the opposite; it is the overproduction of T3 and T4.
Hypothyroid symptoms include cold extremities, dry and rough skin, weight gain, fatigue, hair loss, intolerance to cold, constipation, decreased libido, edema, mood swings. Many people with hypothyroidism experience chronic fatigue syndrome and brain fog. They also tend to have sugar and caffeine addictions. This combination can burn out your thyroid and destabilize blood sugar.
Hyperthyroid symptoms include heart palpitations, weight loss, protruding eyes, excessive sweating, diarrhea, and unusual sensitivity to heat.
According to the latest research, 90% of people with hypothyroidism have Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune hypothyroid condition, whereby the immune system attacks thyroid tissue. Therefore, to address thyroid issues, or any autoimmune condition, you have to get to the source and the cause of the imbalance.
Computerized Integrative Quantum Medicine and Molecular Biology
Health Assessment is unique. It gives you an excellent picture of your general health stressors and causes of why your thyroid is not functioning properly. This is a great health check for taking preventative measures in keeping your body optimally healthy. You can then follow on treatment with the Quantum Biofeedback Technology where you can detoxify your body and boost your immune system and then help stabilize your thyroid hormones. You can detect your stressors, and with quantum biofeedback, reduce your stress and manage your stress because your thyroid is a very sensitive gland and is exceptionally reactive to the stress response.
The Health Assessment can check for
- Mercury Toxicity
- Hypothalamus dysfunction
- Pituitary dysfunction
- Strong emotional states
- Anti -Aging Profile (thyroid issues typically worsen with age)
- MSG Monosodium Glutamate
- Halogen compounds such as fluoride, chlorine, and bromine
- Sugar Regulation
- Candida, which toxifies the blood and inhibits all gland activity
The adrenal glands and other endocrine glands have a direct effect on low thyroid as well. Adrenal fatigue is often the root cause of hypothyroidism. For example, if a person does not get at least 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep (5 stages of sleep for deep REM) each night, the adrenals cannot recharge sufficiently, leading to adrenal exhaustion. The same holds true under stressful conditions or the use of stimulants like caffeine. When the adrenals are continually stressed, the body ends up in a state of catabolism, it begins to break down and the result is adrenal fatigue.
Although the thyroid issues can be perplexing and overwhelming, once the endocrine system is re-balanced and all organs receive the proper quality nutrients necessary to create a balanced hormonal system, it can return a person’s health back to homeostasis. That is why it is necessary to address and remove the stressors of your thyroid.
